Meet the women that make NINE Retreat happen every year
Founder of NINE
Kym Ventola teaches workshops on setting healthy boundaries. She recently retired from photography, where she photographed hundreds of couples around the world for 10 years. Her experience of healing from trauma while trying to run a business and nurture a healthy family and home brought her to this place. She worked with therapists, coaches, doctors and mentors for over 10 years and began coaching women individually once she felt healthy enough to support them. This led to her first retreat in Venice Beach, California in 2015. Kym’s intentions were to host that one and only retreat, but the women left that experience asking about the next one. Thanks to their encouragement, NINE continued.
Kym married her husband, Dan, who is a mental health social worker, in 2000. Together, they have a 12 year old son and are fostering-to-adopt a toddler this year.
Kimberly originally started out as the Studio Manager for Kym Ventola Photography in 2014 and has seen NINE grow from an idea, to one of the most fulfilling and life changing experiences it is today.
Kimberly resides in the Arizona desert with her husband, her 5 year old son and newborn daughter. She loves the sun, traveling the world, chocolate and all things color coordinated and labeled. And emails!
Shadé is an author, speaker, coach and international philanthropist. She graduated from Columbia University and earned her Masters in Public Health from Tulane University. She interviewed hundreds of women ages 18-75 and found an absolute difference between girls who grew up with and without their fathers. She gained a profound understanding of the different ways women are wounded by their fathers and then go on to live as if those wounds are the truth.
Shadé wrote a book called In Search of My Father about how healing her relationship with her father set her free to experience healthy love. Now she coaches women to heal the wounds their fathers left behind and speaks at colleges and conferences around the country.
An expansion of the NINE Retreats for community, education & support at home.
