Where is the retreat?
Flying / Arrival & Departure
NYC-JFK is the recommended airport for flying in. It is approximately a 2.5-3 hour drive to/from the venue.
Check in begins at 3 pm on Sunday, September 8th. Please arrive no later than 5:45 pm so that you don’t miss any events!
Check out is at 10 am on Friday, September 13th. Try to choose a flight where you depart in no earlier than 2pm in the afternoon on this date. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport. Many women end up spending most of the day together before they head home. Strangers have become friends/sisters.
Shuttle will be doing the pickup at JFK around 2:30pm on Sunday, September 8th.
Shuttle will be departing camp IHC to JFK around 8:30am on Friday, September 13th.
Cost is $125 Roundtrip, and includes tip.
We use the GroupME app for communication. We will add all attendees by Friday, August 23rd. If you do not receive an invitation (which should arrive via text), please email Kimberly at email@example.com.
What should I pack?
Pack like you’re going to summer camp! Comfort is key. Many women choose to remain in yoga pants, or jeans, and a t-shirt the majority of the time.
Average temps in the area are low 70’s during the day, high 50’s at night.
We recommend packing the following:
Clothing to layer:
1 light sweater/cover up
Longer shorts, or pants and t-shirts that can be tucked in for zip-lining
Clothes for yoga or any other workouts that you choose to participate in
1 heavier sweater or lightweight jacket
Hat (one for sun protection, another for cool nights)
A light rain jacket
If getting a mini portrait session done with Shawna: an outfit for that
Socks and undergarments
Rubber flip flops or water shoes
Hiking boots if you plan to go on a hike
Closed toe (tennis shoes) for activities
Camera and batteries
Your journal, for note taking.
Toothbrush, toothpaste, toiletries and hygiene products (remember: sunblock).
I.D. and boarding pass, if you’re flying
